cutting edge design, easy-to-use software, and a choice of two sensors for
maximum flexibility. Images are clean, clear and crisp, with outstanding
diagnostic quality. In the blink of an eye, images are acquired with up to a
90% reduction in radiation versus film.
Progeny proprietary ultra-thin CCD sensor design in #1 and #2 sizes
provides for utmost patient comfort. The #1 size delivers over 1 million
pixels of resolution and the #2 size over 2 million pixels...up to four
times the resolution of competing systems. The mint green #1 size and light
blue #2 size are easily distinguished at a glance. Unlike competing systems
with thick, uncomfortable sensors, the Cygnus design is just a few
millimeters thin. Developed in conjunction with E2V Technologies, the
sensors are designed for maximum durability. Use the #1 size for periapical
and anterior images and the #2 size for bitewings and posterior images.

images are an important part of digital x-ray, but the ability to
store, manipulate, and manage those images is an equally crucial
element of a well-designed digital x-ray system. Progeny MPS™ uses
Cygnus Imaging® for Windows® software for
user-friendly operation with a wealth of handy features.
Cygnus Imaging® for Windows® starts with a
robust database that allows for input and storage of patient
information, such as address, date of birth, insurance and other
details. As images are acquired, either through the Progeny MPS™
System or an intraoral camera, each image is categorized and saved in
the patient's record. This intuitive system makes file management a
breeze. Cygnus Imaging's powerful filters make it easy to sort images
by type, date, or other parameters you specify with just a few
keystrokes. Thumbnail views eliminate the need to sort through
confusing filenames.
Image manipulation and analysis are easily accomplished as well.
Progeny MPS™ sensors provide clear, sharp images without need for
any enhancements in most situations. If you wish, adjust contrast,
brightness, color, magnify, sharpen and more with on-screen icons.
Measure density with a click of a button. Images are always secure,
as the software prevents the user from saving an altered image over
the original.
Cygnus Imaging® for Windows® is compatible
with Windows® 98se (second edition), 2000, and XP and is
available bundled with desktop, tower, or laptop computer
configurations. The software may be used with up to eight x-ray
